Diana Stout

Diana Stout: Diana passed away Friday afternoon at Iowa Methodist Medical Center at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 27 days. Diana's memory will be cherished by her husband, Jack Stout of Oskaloosa; her three daughters: Kathy Walker of Oskaloosa and her daughter, Stephanie Walker; Susie and her husband, Chris Milburn of Oskaloosa, their children: Heather and Ashley Milburn and Danielle and her husband, Aron Scott and a great granddaughter, Reese Milburn; and Beth and her husband, Bob Brown of Oskaloosa, their children: Seth and Trent Brown; her mother, Agnes Reese of Oskaloosa; sisters: Cecelia and her husband, Junior Van Roekel of Oskaloosa; and Shirley and her husband, Andy Cubit of Oelwein, Iowa; and a brother, Jerry and his wife, Ramona Reese of Oskaloosa; and many nieces and nephews. Diana Stout, daughter of David E. and Agnes M. Huddleson Reese, was born October 9, 1936, in Oskaloosa, IA. She was a 1955 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. She married Karl Walker in 1956 and they were blessed with three daughters. He died September 23, 1968. She married Jack Stout July 20, 1979, in Oskaloosa. Diana served as the Aquatics Director at the YMCA from 1969 to 1976; she then went to work at Mahaska Hospital in the medical records department, where she worked 5 years. In 1981, she started working in assembly at Pella Corp.; she left there in 1986, when Jack's work took them to the Republic of Marshall Islands, in the south Pacific. They spent two years at the Marshall Islands; upon returning to Oskaloosa in 1988, she began working at Wal-Mart, she worked in receiving for 11 years, retiring in 1999. Diana was a member of the Ladies Eagles and the Central United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved going to their sporting events. She loved her family and will be remembered as a loving mother and a giving sister. In 1972, she gave a kidney to her brother, David Reese, enabling him to enjoy life for several years beyond his life expectancy.
