Alice Joann Haimann

June 9, 1928 - January 12, 2004

Alice Joann Haimann: Alice passed away early Monday morning at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 3 days. Alice's memory is honored by a son and three daughters: Terry and his wife, Cheryl Haimann of Des Moines, IA; Lori and her husband, Mark Fees of Carlisle, IA; Karla and her husband, Joe Bell of Coralville, IA;; and Tana and her husband, Dave Buchman of Ankeny, IA. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Mark and his wife, Brenda Fees, Charlie and Ashley Fees at home, all of Carlisle; Alicia & Kiera Bell at home in Coralville; Brian & Chrystal Buckman, at home in Ankeny, and two great grandchildren: Adrianna and Madison Fees at home in Carlisle. She is survived by a sister & brother-in-law, Betty & Wayne Phillips of Oskaloosa and a sister-in-law, Betty and her husband, Richard Rainey of Oskaloosa. Alice Joann Haimann, daughter of Joseph & Alice Helene Johnson Walker was born on June 9, 1928 in Oskaloosa, IA. She was a 1946 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. Alice moved to New Mexico in 1956, where she lived until 1967, when she moved to Des Moines. She attended Des Moines Area Community College where she received an Associates of Arts Degree in Accounting. In 1969 she began working at Norwest Financial Services, retiring in 1985, after 16 years of service. Alice enjoyed camping, bicycling, hiking and fishing; she also enjoyed drawing and painting. She was a former member of the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa and currently a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dr. James Walker. PDF Printable Version
