Angelena Harvey

July 27, 1915 - April 16, 2004

Angelena Harvey: Ann passed away early Friday evening at the age of 88 years,and 20 days. Ann's memory is honored by her husband, James of Oskaloosa and her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Carlton ""Skip"" Maas of Oskaloosa. She was blessed with three grandchildren: Michael (Scott) and his wife, Wendy Maas of Ottumwa, IA; Michelle (Shelly) and her husband, Tim Lewis of Cedar Rapids, IA and James and his wife Kari Maas of Cedar Rapids, IA; she also had five great grandchildren: Taylor, Alec & Riley Maas, and Courtni and Matthew Lewis. She is survived by a brother: Edward and his wife, Anna Vande Wall of Oskaloosa. Angelena ""Ann"" Harvey, daughter of John and Sarah Vande Wall was born on July 27, 1915 in Monroe, Iowa. She married James Thomas Harvey on March 23, 1940 in Washington, Iowa. While her daughter was young, Ann was a homemaker; she later worked as a clerk at the J.C. Penny Store, working there for 18 years, retiring in 1977. She enjoyed quilting, golfing, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a past member of King's Daughters. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters: Peter Vande Wall, Albert Vande Wall, Anna Louwsma, Gertie Van Woerkem, Bessie Meinders, Henry Vande Wall, Gilbert Vande Wall, Kathryn Nieuwsma, and Clifford Vande Wall.
