Jean Hamilton Chapman: Jean Hamilton Chapman died Feb. 6, 2005, at the age of 70, after a swift and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by four children, Connie Chapman of Forest Lake, MN; Candace Chapman of St. Peter, MN; Tim (Tammy) Chapman of Hastings, MN; and Michael (Julie) Chapman of Rogers, MN; three sisters, Mary Anne Hesling of Oskaloosa, IA; Josephine Fageol of Burlington, IA and Beth Hamilton of Chanhassen, MN. She is also survived by seven loving grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She died at home in Forest Lake, MN with her family and friends around her. She was born Feb. 16, 1934 in Oskaloosa, IA to Mary Walling Hamilton and John F. Hamilton Jr. She attended and graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1952 and continued her education at Stephens College where she met and married Dick Chapman. She was well traveled. While in Corpus Christi, TX she had her own business followed by her 10 year tenure at Delmar Junior College in Corpus Christi. She was affiliated with a theater group and sang with the Sweet Adeline's while there. Her hobbies included hand crafts, stitchery and decorating, but two of her very favorites were music and gardening. One of her greatest pleasures was entertaining family and friends. She gave freely without exception to see the joy of hope come alive in those around her. The family requests memorials be given to the Allina Hospice or St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ. PDF Printable Version
