Opal Long

October 29, 1913 - May 28, 2004

Opal Long: Opal was born on October 29, 1913 in Mahaska County to Aaron and Lettie Mae Chilcote Gray. Opal was married on July 25, 1938 in Knoxville Iowa to Clifford T. Long. He passed away on December 5, 1999. Opal enjoyed painting and gardening. Opal was a member of the Beacon United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion in Eddyville, Iowa and the Ladies of the Moose Lodge in Oskaloosa Iowa. Opal is survived the two sons Jack and his wife Rosemary Long of Macomb, Illinois and Jim and his wife Barbara Long of Tracy, Iowa, also 6-Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandson. Two sisters Hazel Gray of Boulder Colorado and Lottie Longker of Beacon, Iowa Opal is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Clifford.
