Robert Lee Cameron: Bob passed away at the Pella Comfort House on Sunday morning, April 10, 2005 at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 24 days. Bob is survived by his wife, Peggy of Oskaloosa; a daughter, Debra (Dennis) Catlin of Springfield, MO; and two sons: James Cameron of Oskaloosa and Randy (Marilyn) Cameron of Conway, AR. He was blessed with six grandchildren: Stephanie Leuggers, Steve Catlin, Kelly Catlin, Christina Catlin, Cynthia Catlin, Casey Cameron and one great grandson, Caleb Leuggers. He is survived by a sister, Vonda (Richard) Baughman of Oskaloosa; a half sister Francene Satinsky of Cedar Rapids, IA and a half brother, Homer (Doris) Cameron of Oskaloosa. Robert Lee Cameron, son of Elmer & Esther James Cameron was born June 17, 1929 in Oskaloosa. He was a 1947 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1948and served until 1952. While in the military he married Peggy Jean Hazlett on Oct. 6, 1951 in Texarkana, AR, and upon his discharge they returned to Oskaloosa to make their home. Bob went to work for John Morrell in Ottumwa, where he worked for 25 years, until its closing. He then worked for the Clow Valve in the foundry for 15 years. Lastly he worked for 6 years at the Central United Methodist Church as a custodian. Bob was an avid bowler and fisherman; as a young man he played baseball and later was an enthusiastic Atlanta Braves fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, and seven half brothers and sisters.
