I have been acquainted with the Langkamp family both professionally and personally for many years. Always finding just what was needed to help keep a peaceful feeling and a reverent persona in my life while the caring just kept on happening even after the services were completed. They are a wonderful family owned and operated business which, does not seem like a business but family with all the answers and loving care at a time when you really need perfection and you just find it within the Langkamp Family. I have had the privilege of there tender loving care to lay both my parents to rest and would never consider using any other mortuary.

Our family has used the Langkamp Funeral Chapel four times in the last 15 years. We experienced a sudden and traumatic loss of my nephew. After my father's passing, Langkamp Funeral Chapel honored him by flying the American flag over the Oskaloosa bandstand for one month. They gave us multiple options regarding my husband's funeral and provided much regarding a Saturday funeral. Recently my mother passed away and it was comforting to know that she had previously made her arrangements with the funeral chapel, thus making our lives very easy at that difficult time of sorrow.

At the most difficult time in life, when you unexpectedly lose a loved one so dear, Dave and Shawn are right there by your side every step of the way. Tough decisions that come, many of which you dont know at the time, are made so much easier with their caring/loving touch they shower you with. They are the two extra shoulders you so need at a time like this.They put their heart and soul into you and your family, making sure the process is easier and you feel cared for. We were very happy with all the arrangements for Charles' funeral service. David, Shawn and Andrew took care of everything so we didn't have to worry about any of the details. They went above and beyond to help us. They even helped us design our granite grave marker.

A dreaded time in my life....my husband was in the final stages of Alzheimer's disease and I knew I needed to do some preplanning in regards to his final wishes. New to Oskaloosa, I was unfamiliar with local funeral homes and services. I read an advertisement in the paper....."crematory on site, your loved one never leaves our premises." I knew immediately the importance that was to me and contacted Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory. What a blessing! They were compassionate and professional throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to accommodate my concerns and desires.
